Die Anpassung für Snow Leopard nehm ich gerne mit, aber einige Neuerungen in Version 2.0 Beta 7 sind viel spannender, vor allem diese:
New to DEVONthink Pro are also ‘smart templates’, scripted templates that not only add new documents to a database but modify them on-the-fly, e.g. by adding dates, the clipboard contents, or the user’s name and phone number from Address Book. Out of the box DEVONthink Pro 2.0 comes with high-quality smart templates for general use from notes to quotes, classifications, registers, task lists, and project management. (…) Meta data added to documents by other applications, e.g. MP3 tags or PDF properties, email sender, recipients, email addresses, and many more can now be displayed in columns, used for sorting, and be added to searches and smart groups.
Wer schon immer davon geträumt hat, zuhause seine Bibliothek gemäß der Systematik der Library of Congress zu verwalten, ist hier genau richtig. Außerdem kann man jetzt Materialien im Sorter an- und ablegen, ohne dass Devonthink laufen muss. Als nächstes gibt es dann smart tagging. Tags habe ich bei dem eh schon gewaltigen Such-/ Auswert-/Indexiervermögen bisher nicht vermisst, ich bin gespannt.
